The academy allows aspiring swimming teachers to receive all their training for only £85. It includes mentoring to support your development, and you’ll be matched with an employer.

About 

Following successful completion of the programme there will be the opportunity to work at the following pool:

• Mill House Leisure Centre, Raby Rd, Hartlepool TS24 8AR

Teaching hours will generally be weekdays 3.30pm-7 pm, and weekend mornings 8.00am-12pm. Times will vary by site and there may be an opportunity for additional school / daytime hours.

Once qualified successful trainees will be employed as paid swimming teachers by Hartlepool Borough Council on a casual or part-time basis.

Interviews and an informal meet and greet will take place shortly after the closing date.

You don’t need any prior qualifications to apply as you will be supported through your training, although we are accepting applications from those who are halfway through their swimming teacher training or already have their level 1 or 2 qualifications.
