Swim England/UK Coaching Safeguarding and Protecting Children

This workshop will raise your awareness of signs of abuse, and give you the tools and confidence you need to deal with any issues sensitively, appropriately and effectively should the need ever arise.

The course will help you to:

  • Identify and recognise good practice and the implications for your coaching/teaching.
  • Explore your values and feelings in relation to child abuse, and recognise their potential impact on your response.
  • Recognise and respond to possible signs of child abuse and take appropriate action if concerns about a child arise.

This seminar is aimed at all those working with young people.

If you have previously attended a UK Coaching Safeguarding and Protecting Children seminar you are now able to access an online safeguarding course 'Renewal: Safeguarding and Protecting Children in Sport' via the UK Coaching website.
