SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming - Blended Learning Only

Government guidance means our leisure centres are closed; but this does not mean our training and qualifications should stop. We have specifically adapted this course to make sure everyone has the opportunity to start their training.

This blended learning course will allow you to complete the theoretical elements of your qualification online through interactive activities, which will be assessed as you work through the course.

The specialist online learning is split into bite-sized pieces, so you don't have to do it all in one go. This will mean you can work through the course online at home, at your own pace, over the coming weeks.

You will be supported through your online learning with four webinars which can be seen in the itinerary below. These will be led by your tutor and you will be joined by others who have also begun training.

The first webinar will take place on the start date below and will help you kick-off your studies. You will then have the second and third webinars two weeks into your online learning where you will cover some of the course content. This will also give you an opportunity to ask any questions you might have and share your experience of the course so far.

During this time you will also be able to contact your course tutor via email. Your tutor will be using Google classroom to support your lesson planning and learning, so you will need to create a google account. You will be guided through this in your first webinar.

There will be a final webinar once you have finished your online learning.

We will then arrange your four practical training days once the leisure centres have reopened. Your practical poolside learning will include at least six 30-minute swimming lessons, so you can gain hands-on experience.

We run courses at leisure centres across England so you can be assured you will never have to travel far to complete your qualification.

Course fees

To allow as many people to start training during these exceptional times, we are splitting the course fee into two separate payments.

When you start the course and begin your online learning, you will only have to pay £272.

Once the leisure centres reopen and we can book your four practical days, we will then arrange your final payment of £408.

Course content

The course is delivered through a mixture of online learning, webinars, classroom activities and practical poolside learning. You will participate in at least six 30-minute swimming lessons to gain hands-on practical experience.
