Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) - Combined SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) and Level 2 Teaching Swimming

RPL is an assessment only route you can take to gain an SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) and Level 2 Teaching Swimming qualification if you already possess the skills and knowledge needed.

Prior to booking on to this programme you will need to complete an initial assessment . If you successfully pass this stage you will then be able to book your place.

You will be asked to provide relevant and sufficient evidence that you meet the criteria laid out in both qualification specifications. Those who decide to join RPL are given 4 weeks to gather their evidence and upload it to their workspace; this will include videoing yourself teaching participants so please make sure you have their permission beforehand.

Who is RPL designed for?

Anyone who already has experience of assisting and teaching swimming lessons using the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme and can provide evidence of meeting both qualification specifications above without tutor support or learning resources.

Prerequisites

You must be at least 16 years of age at the start of the course.

You must have one of the following qualifications:
