SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming to Babies and Toddlers - Virtual Classroom - Theory Only

This course develops your knowledge, skills and abilities as a swimming teacher for babies and toddlers/pre-school children. It builds on the SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming qualification and gives you the skills to independently plan and deliver a series of baby and toddler swimming lessons.

Training format

While pools were closed, we adapted this qualification and split the theory and practical elements into two courses:

  1. Theory – This will be delivered online through a series of zoom webinars.
  2. Practical – This will start with one zoom webinar to cover some practical topics and your venue orientation. You will then go on to do two, half-day practical sessions at the pool and a final webinar with your tutor.

This course is the first half and covers the theory only.

You will complete the theoretical elements of your qualification online through a series of webinars prior to your practical training.

These webinars are interactive online seminars and workshops that are led by your tutor and you will be joined by others who have also begun their training. Your tutor will guide you through the course content with interactive group activities and discussions.

The webinar itinerary can be seen below.

During this time you will also be able to contact your course tutor via email. Your tutor will be using Google classroom to support your learning so you will need to create a google account. You will be guided through this in your first webinar.

Once you have completed your theoretical training you will then be able to book on to your practical sessions which will include more course content, your lesson delivery and assessment at the pool.

Course fees

As this qualification is split into theory and practical sessions, we are splitting the course fee into two separate payments.

When you start the course and begin your theory online, you will only have to pay £174.50.

Once you have finished all the theory, you can book your practical sessions and make your final payment of £174.50.
