SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) - Theory Only

This qualification develops your knowledge, skills and abilities as an assistant swimming teacher. It will enable you to actively support a Level 2 swimming teacher in the delivery of a planned swimming lesson.

Training format

We have adapted this qualification and split the theory and practical elements into two courses:

  1. Theory – As soon as the start date arrives, you will be able to start your training online with our interactive e-learning and work through the content at your own pace.
  2. Practical – This will start with two zoom webinars to cover some practical topics and your venue orientation. You will then go to one, half-day practical session at the pool and have a final 1-2-1 with your tutor.

This course you are booking is the first half and covers the theory only.

The specialist e-learning is split into bite-sized pieces, so you don’t have to do it all in one go. This will mean you can work through the course online at home, at your own pace.

Once you have completed your theoretical training you will then be able to book on to your practical session which will include more course content, your practical session and assessment at the pool.

Course fees

As this qualification is split into theory and practical sessions, we are splitting the course fee into two separate payments.

When you start the course and begin your online learning, you will only have to pay £120.

Once you have finished all the theory, you can book your practical session and make your final payment of £255.
