SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) - Practical Sessions Only

While pools were closed, we adapted this qualification and split the theory and practical elements into two courses.

This course covers the practical sessions and assessment and is for those who have already completed their theoretical training including e-learning and theory assessments.

Due to current Covid-19 guidelines and to ensure everyone’s safety, we will be keeping the amount of time you spend at the pool to a minimum so these practical sessions will consist of:

  • 2 x 3 hr Zoom webinar - During this session, the tutor will cover the last of your practical topics, a venue orientation and planning for your swimming lessons.
  • 1 x 4 hr Practical assessment session at the pool – this will consist of a meet and greet, preparation, assisting at least two 30-minute swimming lessons, evaluation and feedback. You will only need to attend one of the practical dates listed below. This will be selected with your course tutor on the first zoom session.
  • There will then be a final one to one once you have finished the above where you will receive feedback from your tutor. This will take place online via zoom webinars and be a 30-minute slot during the final online day listed in the itinerary below. Your tutor will arrange the exact time of your 30-minute slot with you at the start of the course.

Course fees

The final payment to cover your practical sessions and assessment will be £255.

If you have already paid for your course, email iosadmin@swimming.org for a voucher to book with.
