Swim England Safeguarding in Aquatics

This course will provide you with an understanding of your role, duty and responsibility in relation to safeguarding everyone within your organisation.

During this course, you will be asked to think about different types of harm that children and adults can experience. You may have your own lived experience of harm and abuse and may find some of the content in this course difficult and upsetting. Should you wish to have a chaperone with you please let your tutor know prior to the course.

Who is the course for?

The Swim England Safeguarding in Aquatics Training was developed and written for Swim England affiliated Clubs, Swim Schools and Organisation Members who hold a role which requires a DBS check.

Should participants from a Non-Swim England setting choose to attend our course, they should be aware that this course is bespoke to Swim England and they would need to follow up their learning with their own employer or business to ensure they are aware of the safeguarding policy, procedures and reporting procedures applicable to their business or employment and who their welfare officer or designated safeguarding lead is.
