The Institute of Swimming see the tutor is an integral part of the learning experience for the pool plant programme.
We encourage our tutors to be able to deliver a course which can be both engaging and motivating for the learners and provide plenty of technical knowledge, to ensure the learners are equipped to continue their learning at their place of work, through site specific training and development.
The number of trainees recruited to the programme each year varies and is driven by a range of factors, including gaps in tutor coverage for the programme.
Training consists of a 6 hour webinar based on delivery, due to take place on the 5th May and then two consecutive days of training with two highly experienced Institute of Swimming tutors on the 11th and 12th May at SportPark, Loughborough, the timings of which are detailed below and are subject to change.
Please note there will be planning and assessment tasks associated with the training programme. Details of which will be given on the training days.

The cost of this programme is £300.
This includes:
Induction
3x training days
Lunch provided on training days 2 and 3
Access to IOS hub of resources
We strongly encourage the trainees purchase their own copy of the PWTAG Swimming Pool Water book (blue book) ahead of the start of the programme and bring this with them to the face to face days. If you don't have a copy of your own this can be purchased through the Institute of Swimming with a 15% discount.
