Kay Grimshaw receives long service award

Kay’s involvement in swimming has been over many years and she has been involved at every level from club, county, regional and national levels.

She has been on numerous committees at all levels and in 2009 she was ASA President.

She still plays an active part in many ways but has decided to reduce some involvement and has just retired from the Swim England London Management Board.

If it wasn’t for the likes of people such as Kay, we wouldn’t be here today.

Kay was unable to attend the Swim England London ACM and so was presented with a gift from the regional board for her service to the board during the Winter Swimming Championships.

Ralph Shortland said: “If it wasn’t for the likes of people such as Kay, we wouldn’t be here today. Kay, a huge thank you from us all.”
