Free access to all Swim England Expected Standards videos31 March 2020
Swim England is making a ‘fantastic resource’ free of charge to swimming teachers for a limited time.
The national governing body’s Expected Standards videos have already been viewed more than 46,000 times by those delivering the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme.
More than 100 on demand films showing the expected standards learner swimmers should reach on each stage of their swimming journey are now available to view for free.
Please note, this offer has now expired – head to our Expected Standards page to find out more about accessing these resources.
Geoff Wade, of GoGateshead, said: “The Swim England Expected Standards Videos are a fantastic resource to ensure consistency of assessment standards across our team of teachers.
“They’re also available on the teacher tablets so learners can be shown exactly what they need to do. Great for those skills which are hard to demonstrate from poolside.”
Each film features the individual outcomes in the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework, Stages 1 to 7 and each outcome for the Swim England Aquatic Skills Framework Stages 8 to 10 Swimming.
All the learners in the clips are learning how to swim and are working towards, or have recently passed, the Stage they are in.
Each video is accompanied by audio commentary and written text which explains what is being seen on the screen in more detail.
