Swim England home-schooling activity sheets can be downloaded for free

Swim England News

A range of free content covering aquatics-themed topics has been made available by Swim England to parents who are home-schooling.

Download more than 20 worksheets covering subjects such as water safety, swimming terms and spotting the dangers poolside.

They can be used for helping to improve numeracy and literacy skills – or as a way of making home lessons more fun.

Katie Towner, Swim England Head of Learn to Swim, said: “With pools closed across the country, we wanted to be supportive to everyone who will be missing swimming lessons and give them an opportunity to continue to learn about water safety and strokes despite not being in the water.

“Our activity sheets will keep children creative by thinking up stories, problem-solving, completing crosswords and giving them things to do in the garden or while out on a walk.

“They are aimed at youngsters up to the age of 11 and can be completed independently or supported by an adult or older sibling.

“We’d love to hear what you think of the activity sheets and if there are any topics that you would like to see covered.”
