Schools across the country take part in the Big School Swim

Swim England News

Today 250 schools and pool are joining in with the Big School Swim to celebrate swimming and water safety.

Primary school pupils from across the country will be taking part in special Big School Swim lessons. Some will be heading to their local pool for lessons in the water. Others will be joining in with lessons as part of their day at school.

However they are getting involved, pupils will be finding out about the importance of learning to swim.

The focus of this year’s campaign is water safety. Primary schools and pools have access to lesson plans which teach safe self-rescue, and lots of other resources to make sure pupils have lots of fun along the way.
