Who can apply for Swim School Membership?
Any swim school or operator involved with the provision of the Learn to Swim Programme can apply to become a Member. To be successful in your application, you must meet Swim England’s seven minimum criteria for Swim School Members. These are detailed below.
What are the seven minimum criteria that I need to meet in order to apply for Membership?

To become a Swim School Member, you must meet and be able to show evidence of seven minimum criteria for a Learn to Swim Programme provision. These have been set by Swim England’s leadership teams to help you make sure Swim School Membership is the right scheme for you and your centre. The criteria are:

  1. Evidence of current Public Liability Insurance.
  2. Proof of delivery of the Learn to Swim Programme.
  3. Actively purchasing Learn to Swim Awards.
  4. Swim Teachers who are qualified to Swim England Level 2 standard (or equivalent).
  5. Proof that staff members have been DBS checked.
  6. Evidence and details of pool safety operating procedures (PSOPs).
  7. Have an up to date safeguarding qualification.

You’ll need to declare that you meet these criteria during your online application. You must be able to supply proof when requested by Swim England. Failure to do so may result in your application not be accepted, or any existing Membership being suspended.

How much is Membership?
