Entries open for Synchro National Age Group Championships

Entries have opened for the 2019 Swim England Synchronised Swimming National Age Group Championships.

The event will be held at a new venue and earlier in the year while there is also a change to the age groups that can take part.

Manchester Aquatics Centre will host the competition on 2-3 March and discounted tickets are on sale now.

The age groups eligible to take part are 9-10 years, 11-12 years and 13-15 years – the 15-18 years category has been moved into the Swim England Synchro National Championships taking place at the end of April.

Four competitions at championships

There are four types of competition at the National Age Group Championships:

• All athletes will begin the competition by completing Figures where they will receive a score based on their performance of four ‘figures‘ which increase in difficulty for each age group.
• The Solo competition is open to the top 12 athletes from these figures rankings who wish to enter in each age group.
• The Duet competition is open to the top 12 athletes, and Mixed Duet competition is open to all athletes, but pairs must consist of two swimmers from the same club for both competitions.
• The Team competition features between four and eight swimmers (all from the same club in both competitions).

Entries are open until 12 noon on Wednesday 30 January 2019.

Tickets purchased in advance online are priced at £14.50 for adults and £13 concessions for a championship pass, and £9 and £8 for daily admission.
