Hundreds of synchro swimmers set to compete for 2018 Combo Cup

More than 700 synchronised swimmers making up 88 teams from 34 clubs across the country will be competing at this year’s Swim England Synchro Combo Cup.

It is the second time the competition has been staged and, this year, the event takes place at the London Aquatics Centre, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, on Saturday 7 July.

City of Salford are the current Combo Cup holders after taking the title at the inaugural event held at the Manchester Aquatics Centre last September.

It is a unique event in the synchronised swimming calendar as it only features free combination routines. There is also no minimum standard to compete.

The Combo Cup is contested over two divisions and five age groups – 12 & Under, 13-15 Years, 15-18 Years, 13-18 Years and 15 & Under.

Medals are awarded for each competition, while the club with the largest total score across all competitions will win the Combo Cup.
