By becoming a member of the ASA you become part of a well-regulated governing body that is always developing initiatives to forward the sport and is dedicated to allowing all our members to achieve their full potential.

Because full membership is only available via an affiliated club or affiliated body, you will also benefit from a club structure offering advice and guidance on a range of issues and a club using ASA qualified teachers and coaches.

All members receive insurance cover which includes Civil Liability, Personal Accident and Legal Advice. Members of the ASA also benefit from preferential rates from a number of companies. Currently these are:

HMCA
Hospital and Medical Care Association Private Medical Cover from the specialist for membership groups

Adrenaline Travel Insurance
The travel companion for individuals, groups and tours participating in sports and activities abroad.

You can only obtain full ASA membership by joining a club affiliated to The ASA (or an ASA affiliated body). You will then be asked to fill in the appropriate form. CLICK HERE  to find out about membership categories. Or use our “find it” facility or call the ASA Customer Services Department on 0871 200 0928 to learn about your nearest club.

If you are a fan of the sport you can also become a member of the British Swimming Supporters Club.
