Swim School and Training Manager

Colchester City Council in Essex is looking for a Swim School and Training Manager to join our team.

As a Swim School and Training Manager, you will lead and manage swim lesson programs, ensuring they meet financial and performance targets. This includes delivering training courses for Swim Teacher and National Pool Lifeguard qualifications.  You will act as the Key Centre Contact for Swim England Qualifications (SEQ) and Royal Life Saving Society UK certifications, ensuring staff competency and compliance. You'll maintain staffing levels, oversee risk assessments, and implement new programs. Managing HR aspects and handling customer feedback professionally are also key responsibilities.

The successful candidate would ideally have similar experience within the public or private sector, with experience and ownership in collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to promote and market swim programs effectively.

Our full-time positions will Work 37 hours per week. Weekend and evening working will be required, as well as Duty Officer shifts and participation in on-call rota for all sites, providing cover for swimming lessons when necessary.
