Swim England confirms dates for 2024 national artistic swimming events

Dates for Swim England’s four national artistic swimming events in 2024 have been confirmed.

The GoCardless Swim England Artistic Swimming National Age Group Championships is the first event of year staged by the national governing body.

It will take place at Crawley’s K2 on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 March.

The National Age Group Championships features four types of competition – the figures, solo, duet and team.

More than 150 athletes from 25 clubs took part in the 2023 championships, which saw City of Salford win the Mrs Y M Price Trophy, which is awarded to the team with the highest combined figure and team free routine, at the 2023 championships.

In April, Nottingham’s Harvey Harden Sports Village will again be the venue for the GoCardless Swim England Artistic Swimming National Junior and Senior Championships.

This will take place on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 April and will see teams bidding to lift the prestigious Redwood Trophy.

Reading Royals lifted the iconic trophy, which is presented to the club with the highest routine score from the technical and free routines, for the third successive year in 2023.

An action-packed weekend of artistic swimming is taking place at Sheffield’s Ponds Forge International Pool in July.

First up is the GoCardless Swim England Artistic Swimming Combo Cup.

This will be held on Saturday 6 July and is a unique event in the artistic swimming calendar as it features only free combination performances.

City of Leeds triumphed in the 2023 competition, after winning three golds, one silver and one bronze during the event.

Twenty-four hours later, the GoCardless Swim England Artistic Swimming National Masters Championships will also take place at Ponds Forge.

Almost 200 athletes took part in the 2023 championships, which features solo, duet and team events for age groups ranging from 18-24 right up to 70-79 Year events.
