Book tickets for the Artistic Swimming Pathway Coach and Judges Conference 2022

Tickets are now available for a two-day conference which will give artistic swimming coaches and officials the ‘tools and knowledge to embrace sweeping changes’ introduced to the sport.

The Swim England Artistic Swimming Pathway Coach and Judges Conference 2022 will take place on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 December at the Jurys Inn, East Midlands Airport, Castle Donington, Derby.

A number of presentations and workshops will be staged throughout the conference which will be delivered by key figures within the sport.

The conference will provide key updates on the ‘significant’ changes FINA has introduced which will alter the way artistic swimming will be coached, judged and scored.

Karen Thorpe, Swim England artistic swimming manager, said the conference would be essential for coaches and officials at all levels of the sport.

Significant changes

She added: “Artistic swimming is undergoing the most significant changes in its history after FINA approved sweeping changes to the way the sport is coached, judged and scored as part of the desire to grow the sport.”

“We are pleased to offer two full days of insights, presentations and workshops that will give every coach and judge the tools and knowledge they need to adapt and embrace the changes.

“You will hear from members of the Swim England coaching team, Olympic coaches, FINA judges and members of the ASLG.

“This is a don’t miss event.”

The discussions will include an overview of the major new rules and terminology being introduced by FINA in 2023, a look at the Swim England Coaching Plan 2022-25, which aims to transform lives through inspiration, and a new approach to designing routines.

There will also be presentations on technical elements for solos, duets, mixed duets and teams, a look at the new figures, the coach learning journey and information on education and training programmes

How much does it cost?

  • The cost for the conference is full cost £40 per day, and places can be booked online.
