Synchronised swimming squad selected for Glasgow 2018

A squad of 12 synchronised swimmers has been named to represent Great Britain at the 2018 European Championships in Glasgow.

The line-up includes 17-year-old Kate Shortman, World Championship finalist last season and a winner of four National Championship titles in 2016 and 2017.

The Bristol swimmer was also part of the Technical Team and Free Team who came eighth at the last European Championships in 2016. She will be taking on solo, duet and team competition.

Joining her in multiple events is Isabelle Thorpe, her teammate in the duet event. The pair impressed with their performance in the 2017 World Championships.

A pool is being specially built for the competition at the Scotstoun Sports Complex in Glasgow, which is usually home to tennis courts.

Glasgow 2018 will run from 2 to 12 August and tickets are still available to purchase.
