Barrington signs off with double gold

Rosie Barrington topped the podium twice in one day at ASA National Synchro Champs, winning both 18-19 years solo and duet events.

The City of Leeds Synchronised SC swimmer used an Alicia Keys piece as her inspiration, mirroring the music on her way to victory in an impressive display of control and style.

Scoring 127.1452 points, the 19 year old fended off City of Birmingham’s Madison Griffith who took silver in 126.1759.

Earlier in the day, Barrington also paired up with partner Alice Dewhurst for the duet competition.

Despite being sole entries the duo worked hard, travelling well across the pool and holding good synchronicity for the duration of the routine.

The pair study and live separately at different universities, but impressed to post a final score of 124.3495.
