GB Synchro secure bronze at French Open 2016

The British Synchronised Swimming team competed at the French Open 2016 this weekend as they continue their preparation for the Olympic Synchronised Swimming Qualification Tournament and the LEN European Aquatics Championships.

The 11 strong team competed in the Solo Free, Duet Technical and Free as well as the Team Technical and Free at the three-day competition in Montreuil, France.

Olympians Katie Clark and Olivia Federici competed in both of the Duet routines and continued to build on the routines they debuted at the German Open.

This was also the first international competition of the season for the team as they look to polish and perfect their performances ahead of the LEN European Aquatics Championships in London.

French Open 2016: Day One

The British Duet of Katie Clark and Olivia Federici finished in tenth place after the Free Duet on the opening day of the French Open.

The London 2012 Olympians scored a point higher than their final routine at the German Open last week.

Their snakes-inspired routine scored 79.1667 and saw them head into the Technical routine in a strong position.

French Open 2016: Day Two

The British Synchronised Swimming team featured in all events on the second day of competition, showing their potential across Technical Duet, Free Solo and Free Team.

She scored a total of 74.5000 and finished in 13th place overall.
