Gray lines up clean sweep with 13-15yrs Solo gold

Mimi Gray set up a clean sweep of national titles as she won gold in the 13-15yrs Solo on day two of the Swim England Synchro National Age Group Championships 2017.

Gray has three out of four titles (Solo, Duet, Figures) and looks set to repeat her performance from last year.

She was in a class of her own in the Solo event, outscoring the rest of the field by more than 3.5 points for her routine, and nearly seven points overall.

Gray swam her Free Routine to Andrea Bocelli’s Nessun Dorma, scoring 68.5000 to take her tally to 134.7993.

Gray commented: “It feels really good to get a third gold.

“The hard work, extra sessions and experience of international competition has really helped. I just went out there and tried my best.”
