Rugby set to stage historic 2015 ASA Synchro Masters Champs

Britain’s top Masters synchronised swimmers will head to the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Centre, Rugby this weekend (7 November) to show off their skills at the ASA National Synchronised Swimming Masters Championships.

In an exciting ASA first, male synchronised swimmers are set to compete alongside women at the championships. Additionally an element of men’s synchronised swimming has been introduced at every level of the competition schedule across the ASA calendar.

John Kelly and Chris Jepson from London-based synchronised swimming club, Out to Swim Angels, will make their debut in the 40-49yrs Solo events at the championships this year.

Liz Fitzsimons will head into the championships after medal success at the 2015 FINA World Masters Championship in Kazan, Russia. The Brighton Dolphins swimmer will compete alongside Laura Rogers in the 40-49yrs Duet events.

Reading Royals’ Andrea Holland, who won duet gold at the 1977 European Championships in Sweden, will compete in the 50-59yrs Solo events, while former European and world champion Jeanne Ashley, will also be in action at the championships.
