
North West crowned Regional Games champions for second year running
June 9, 2026 News and BlogsThe Regional Games took place in Bristol on Friday 29 May, bringing together talented artistic swimmers from across the country for an exciting day of competition.
The event saw strong participation across both age groups, with 61 athletes competing in the 12 & under category and 73 athletes in the youth age group.
Athletes were challenged across three competition components โ figures, a land video and a relay race โ providing a comprehensive test of technical ability, physical skills and teamwork.

The competition ran smoothly throughout the day, supported by four panels of judges, and proved to be a great success.
The East Region claimed victory in the land video section, while the North East took first place in the relay race, closely followed by the North West and Midlands in a highly competitive finish.
The Regional Games also offered an important opportunity for England and GB athletes to showcase their routines ahead of upcoming international competitions, while helping to support fundraising for the programme.

After all components were completed, the North West were crowned overall champions for the second year running, finishing on 17 points.
The Midlands secured second place with 15 points, while the East and South East Regions shared joint third place.
The event provided a valuable platform for developing athletes to demonstrate their progress, gain competition experience and represent their regions in a positive and supportive environment.
Performances across all regions highlighted the growing depth of talent within artistic swimming and the dedication of athletes, coaches and clubs nationwide.
Congratulations to the North West on retaining their title, and thank you to all athletes, coaches, DISE athletes, judges, volunteers, helpers, parents and supporters who contributed to a successful Regional Games.
