Swim England confirms dates for national events as part of Virtual Series

Swim England has confirmed the dates when the national artistic swimming events which make up the Virtual Series will take place.

Four competitions will be held for all age groups throughout September, October, November and December.

However, instead of each event being held at one venue, clubs and individuals will perform routines in their own pools during a certain time period and submit video footage which will be scored by qualified judges.

The top routines will then be shown during a Facebook live stream and the winners announced.

Virtual Series – Competitions

Kicking off the Virtual Series will be the National Junior and Senior Championships 2021.

Entries will open at 12 noon on Friday 3 September and clubs will have until the same time on Monday 13 September to submit their footage.

The Facebook live stream will be broadcast on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 September at a time to be confirmed in due course.

In October, the National Age Group Championships takes place with entry and submission of videos running from 12 noon on Friday 1 October until 12 noon on Monday 11 October.

The top routines will then be streamed on Facebook live on the weekend of Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 October.

Masters artistic swimmers are in the spotlight in November for the National Masters Championships.

Submission of videos begins from 12 noon on Friday 5 November and all must be sent in by the same time on Monday 15 November.

The Facebook live streaming for this event will be during the weekend of 27-28 November.

Finally, the Combo Cup will be the focus for clubs in December.

Entries open at 12 noon on Friday 26 November and footage of routines must be submitted by 12 noon on Monday 6 December.

The videos of the top routines judged will be broadcast on Facebook over the weekend of 18-19 December.
