Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) – Combined Swim England Assistant Swimming Coach and Swimming Coach – Online

RPL is an assessment only route you can take to gain a Swim England Assistant Swimming Coach and Swim England Swimming Coach certificate if you already possess the skills and knowledge needed.

Prior to booking on to this programme you will need to complete an initial assessment. If you successfully pass this stage you will then be able to book your place.

You will be asked to provide relevant and sufficient evidence that you meet the criteria laid out in the certificate specification. Those who decide to join RPL are given 6 weeks to gather their evidence and upload it to their workspace.

Who is RPL designed for?

Anyone who already has experience of coaching swimmers and can provide evidence of meeting the certificate specification without tutor support or learning resources.

You must be at least 18 years of age at the start of the course.

You will have experience of working as an assistant coach and must have a good level of English, with both written and verbal communication skills.
