RPL is an assessment only route you can take to become a Swim England Swimming Coach if you already possess the skills and knowledge needed.
This initial assessment should be completed prior to booking on to the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) - Swim England Swimming Coach course. Once you book on to this initial assessment you will be given access to your online workbook. This will include a set of questions which you need to complete by the course end date below.
If you pass the initial assessment you will be able to book on to the full RPL course. You will be asked to provide relevant and sufficient evidence that you meet the criteria laid out in the certificate specification. Those who decide to join RPL are given 6 weeks to gather their evidence and upload it to their workspace.

Who is RPL designed for?
Anyone who already has experience of coaching swimming and can provide evidence of meeting the certificate specification without tutor support or learning resources.

You must be at least 18 years of age at the start of the course.
You must have one of the following qualifications:
You will have experience of working as a swimming coach and must have a good level of English, with both written and verbal communication skills.
