We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and forward‑thinking swimming coach to join our coaching team and lead our Regional Youth and County Youth squads. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing the next generation of competitive swimmers within one of the South West’s most respected programmes.

About the Club

CoB is one of the lead performance swimming clubs in Bristol. Our aquatics pathway develops swimmers from academy squad through to international standard. We develop and support all athletes to improve their performances through structured coaching in a competitive yet friendly environment. The club has a track record for developing swimmers to a high level regionally and nationally and has produced several international swimmers in the last few years.

About the Role:

  • Full‑time position – 37 hours per week
  • Lead and develop two competitive youth squads, focusing on long‑term athlete development, technical excellence, and performance progression
  • Work collaboratively within a committed coaching team to deliver high‑quality sessions aligned with the club’s performance pathway
  • Contribute to competitions, camps, and wider club activities

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience coaching various ages of competitive swimmers (we may consider those with swim teaching experience)
  • Strong technical knowledge and an athlete‑centred approach
  • Excellent communication, planning, and leadership skills; capable of working with different swimmers and communicating with swimmers, coaches, parents and volunteers within the club
  • Keen to develop and implement training plans in line with the CoB pathway
  • Motivated and passionate about helping young athletes thrive in a supportive, ambitious environment
  • Relevant swimming coaching qualifications (minimum Swim England Swimming Coach Certificate/ASA Level 2 Coaching Award)

Key Dates:

  • Closing date: as above
  • Interviews: Week commencing 26 July 2026 (Can be delayed if coaching at SE Summer Meet)

We are also recruiting for a part-time Lead Squad Coach to lead and develop our County Age Squad and support the progression of the Development Squad Pathway. Please see our other vacancy here. Part-time Lead Squad Coach
