Swim England is launching a new Swim School Membership offer in early November 2023, with two brand new packages providing exclusive offers to support swim schools with the delivery of the Learn to Swim Programme and their business growth.

Swim School Portal
This is an exclusive online portal where a swim school member can access all of the following:
- Resources
- Marketing materials
- Guidance documents
- Logo and brand guidelines
- Terms and conditions of membership
- Benefits
Online Swim School Management System
We have a new online platform to collect data on all teachers within all swim school settings. Swim School Members will need to upload this information and keep it up to date.
We will be asking swim schools to provide the following documentation to ensure safeguarding and governance is being met:
- All teaching staff to hold an up to date enhanced DBS certificate
- Public Liability Insurance Certificate
- All teaching staff to have an in date Safeguarding Certificate/Qualifications
- Swim England Level 2 Qualifications or equivalent
Swim Schools will be required to have up-to-date Pool Safety Operating Procedures (PSOP). A declaration form will require wet signature from the Swim School declaring this.
This documentation will be uploaded to the swim school portal and the online teacher register. All documentation will be checked by the Learn to Swim Team in order for a membership application to be approved.
Wavepower
Upon the launch of the new membership, all Swim England Swim School Members will be required to adopt Wavepower within their policies. Click the button below to find out more about Wavepower.
Welfare Officer
Upon the release of the new Swim School Membership, it will be a requirement of Swim School Members to have a welfare officer and provide us with their details. This will be covered in the application and renewal.
What does that mean to me?
All current members will be automatically put on a standard membership package with no additional charge. You will be required to fill out a new application form. You will have the option to upgrade to the premium membership package – this will have an additional charge associated with it. An upgrade form will be available on the website for you to complete. The new costs will be applicable upon renewal of your membership.
Current members will be given time to put these new measures in place to allow themselves to become compliant with the new regulations. The Swim England membership team will be on hand to provide support.
We will be holding online drop in sessions for swim schools to meet with the Learn to Swim Team and Membership Team, who can support you and answer any question that you might have.
