Robyn Swatman bounces back to seal solo gold

Robyn Swatman put the disappointment of narrowly missing out on a figures gold medal to win the solo event in the 13-15 years category.

The Walsall swimmer finished only 0.5307 points behind Witney and District’s Laura Turberville in the figures but bounced back in the solo competition to take gold with a score of 66.9000.

She was 1.6000 points head of London Regional’s Rosie Ralllings, who had taken bronze in the figures event, and 3.3333 clear of Turberville, who added the bronze to her figures gold.

Felt gold was in reach

Swatman finished with an overall total of 134.0871 and said: “I felt like the gold was in reach after the figures – I swam as hard as I could as I felt like I could win it.

“We’re confident about the duets – we want another gold.”

Rallings is on a score of 131.6163 from her two events, with Turberville finishing on a total of 131.2845.
