Entries open for Synchro National Champs 2018

Entries are open for the Swim England Synchronised Swimming National Championships 2018, returning to Harvey Hadden Sports Complex in Nottingham for the third year running.

The event takes place on the 21-22 April 2018, and is the highest level of domestic competition for English synchronised swimmers. It will see some of the country’s top athletes competing for national glory.

The historic competition features technical and free routine competitions for Solo, Duet and Team events. This year there will be no figures competition as there has been in previous events.

Deadline for entries is 12 Noon on Wednesday 21 March, head over to the entry system to secure your place.

Make sure that you familiarise yourself with the conditions and entry pack on our calendar page.

Swimmers battling for synchro trophies

Whilst the swimmers will be competing for individual honours, they will also have their sights set on the team trophy.

The country’s top clubs will be favourites for the acclaimed Redwood Trophy. This is awarded to the club with the highest technical and free team routine scores.

Rushmoor took home the trophy in 2017, the fifth time in the last decade. They will be hoping to hold onto it for another year.

Another trophy up for grabs is the Spencer Trophy. Last year it went to Bristol’s up-and-coming synchro duet Kate Shortman and Isabelle Thorpe, who also competed at the FINA World Championships 2017 in Budapest.
