Get ready for the Synchro Combo Cup 2017

News and Blogs

On Saturday 16 September the very first Swim England Combo Cup is happening at the Manchester Aquatics Centre.

The event is unique in the synchronised swimming calendar as it only features free combination routines. There is also no minimum standard to compete.

This provides a great opportunity for less experienced swimmers to take part in a national competition. Smaller clubs who have fewer experienced swimmers in their squad can also enter teams.

The free combination is arguably the most exciting type of synchro routine. It features impressive lifts and throws, up-tempo music and up to 10 athletes swimming together. A total of 70 teams from 27 clubs will compete on the day with a massive 595 competitors.

Each club that wins a medal is awarded points, and the club with the largest total score will win the Combo Cup.

There are two divisions. Division 1 is for those swimmers who hold a Swim England Figure Grade 2 or less. Division 2 is for teams with swimmers who have a Swim England Figure Grade 3 or above.
