Highs and lows for London Regional in duet contest
November 25, 2018London Regional suffered highs and lows in the 12 years and under duet competition at the Swim England Synchronised Swimming National Age Group Championships.
Aisling Khan and Olivija Urbonaite were victorious for the club but the duo of Carla Pietrafesa and Lily Halasi had to withdraw from the event.
Halasi was feeling ill and despite waiting until the last minute before making a decision, she was unable to compete in the event.
Khan and Urbonaite scored a total of 113.1619 – 52.3333 for their routine and 60.8286 – as they finished 3.2163 ahead of the silver medallists, and only other competitors, Rugby.
The duo of Bethany Masters and Eve Young scored an impressive 54.3000 for their routine but their average figures score of 55.6456 denied them top spot.
