Speedo Swim Squads Dubai seeks a Head of Performance to lead its competitive pathway. The role provides strategic and technical leadership, developing athletes and coaches while driving results at national and international levels.
Main Mission
To build, lead, and deliver a structured high-performance swimming programme that produces consistent competitive results while developing swimmers through a clear and sustainable elite pathway.
The Head of Performance will establish the performance vision, maintain coaching standards across all squads, and create an environment of accountability, discipline, and ambition that prepares swimmers for elite competition.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Leadership and Strategy:
- Design and implement annual and multi-year performance strategies for the entire competitive pathway.
- Establish clear benchmarks, KPIs, and progression standards across Development, Competitive, and Performance squads.
- Ensure alignment between daily training, competition objectives, and long-term athlete development.
- Oversee training structure, workload management, recovery strategies, and programme consistency.
Performance Coaching Oversight:
- Lead and oversee the Performance, National, and Elite squads while maintaining visibility across all competitive groups.
- Support coaches in delivering technically precise, high-intensity training environments.
- Guide individual athlete performance plans based on physiological, technical, and psychological profiling.
- Ensure swimmers are prepared for championship competitions through structured taper and race strategies.
Competition and Results Focus:
- Oversee competition planning, race analysis, and post-meet performance reviews.
- Track athlete progression through data analysis, times, rankings, and development metrics.
- Identify qualification standards, medal targets, and international pathway opportunities.
- Build a culture of resilience, race intelligence, and competitive excellence.
Talent Identification and Pathway Development:
- Identify high-potential athletes within the programme and develop long-term performance plans.
- Strengthen the pathway from Development to Performance squads.
- Establish clear selection criteria, squad standards, and progression benchmarks.
- Support athlete retention and long-term engagement in competitive swimming.
Leadership and Coach Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the coaching team across all squads.
- Ensure technical consistency and coaching standards throughout the programme.
- Provide guidance, feedback, and development opportunities for assistant and development coaches.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence within the coaching team.
Professional Standards and Programme Representation:
- Communicate clearly and confidently with swimmers, parents, and staff.
- Represent Speedo Swim Squads Dubai with professionalism and credibility within the swimming community.
- Maintain high behavioural, cultural, and performance standards across the programme.
- Contribute to long-term strategic planning and growth of the competitive programme.
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience coaching competitive swimmers at national or high-performance level.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a competitive swimming programme.
- Strong understanding of periodisation, race analysis, and athlete development pathways.
- Experienced in leading and mentoring coaching teams.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and performance-driven.
- Passionate about building a sustainable and successful elite swimming programme.

Two working references must be complete throughout the interview stage, and candidates must have 3 to 5 years of experience as a head coach.
