Performance Swimming Coach

Speedo Swim Squads in Dubai is seeking a Performance Swimming Coach to lead the high-performance programme poolside, acting as a strategic and technical leader aligned with the Head Coach’s vision. They will be responsible for long-term planning, structured athlete development, and delivering measurable competitive results.

Main Mission:

• Build, lead, and deliver a structured, high-performance competitive programme that produces measurable results at national and international levels.
• Drive performance standards, training quality, and competitive success across all performance squads.
• Create an environment of accountability, discipline, and ambition that prepares swimmers for elite pathways.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Programme Leadership:

• Design and implement periodised annual and multi-year performance plans.

• Establish clear benchmarks, KPIs, and progression standards.

• Ensure alignment between daily training, competition objectives, and long-term athlete development.

• Maintain consistency in workload, intensity, and recovery strategies.

High-Level Coaching:

• Lead and directly coach Performance, National, and Elite squads.

• Deliver technically precise, high-intensity training environments.

• Individualise performance plans based on physiological, technical, and psychological profiling.

• Prepare swimmers for championship meets with structured taper and race strategies.

Competition and Results Focus:

• Lead competition preparation, race analysis, and post-meet reviews.

• Track data, times, rankings, and development metrics.

• Identify medal and qualification targets and plan accordingly.

• Foster resilience, race skills, and a competitive mindset.

Talent Identification and Pathway Oversight:

• Identify high-potential athletes within the programme.

• Strengthen the transition from Development to Performance squads.

• Maintain clear selection criteria and progression pathways.

Leadership and Staff Development:

• Act as the technical authority at the performance level.

• Mentor and challenge assistant and development coaches.

• Ensure coaching consistency and technical standards across squads.

• Promote a culture of excellence and accountability.

Professional Standards and Communication:

• Communicate clearly and confidently with swimmers, staff, and parents.

• Represent Speedo Swim Squads with professionalism and credibility.

• Maintain high behavioural and performance expectations.

• Contribute to strategic programme planning with the Head Coach.

Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience coaching competitive swimmers at the performance level.

• Strong understanding of periodisation, race analysis, and athlete profiling.

• Confident leader capable of driving standards and managing ambition.

• Detail-oriented, analytical, and performance-focused.

• Passionate about building a sustainable elite programme.
