The academy allows aspiring swimming teachers to receive all their training for only £85, compared to the usual cost of over £1000. It includes a mentor to support your development and you will be matched with an employer.

About

Teaching swimming is an active and rewarding role. Work hours are generally part-time including weekday evenings and weekends.

For these roles, there will be the opportunity to work at the following leisure centre:

• Leisure at Cheltenham, Tommy Taylors Ln, Cheltenham, GL50 4RN

Once qualified, successful trainees will be employed as swimming teachers by Leisure at Cheltenham.

A DBS check will be required before starting your volunteering hours.

Shortlisted applicants will be given the opportunity to find out more about the swimming teacher opportunity at an informal virtual meet and greet session and interview that will take place after the closing date.

You don’t need any qualifications to apply as you will be supported through your training. However, we are accepting applications from those who are partway through their swimming teacher training or already have their Level 1 or 2 qualifications.
