If you want to become a swimming teacher and enjoy an active and rewarding role then this is the perfect opportunity for you.

The academy allows aspiring swimming teachers to receive all their training for only £85, compared to the usual cost of over £1000. It includes a mentor to support your development and you will be matched with an employer.

• Practical volunteer placement in between courses

About 

Teaching Swimming is an active and rewarding role. Work hours are generally part-time including weekday evenings and weekend mornings.

For these roles, there may be the opportunity to work at the following leisure centres:

• Arc Leisure Centre, Bakewell Road, Matlock Derbyshire, DE4 3AZ
• Bakewell Swimming Pool, Granby Road Bakewell, Bakewell Derbyshire, DE45 1ES
• Ashbourne Swimming Pool & Gym, Clifton Road, Ashbourne Derbyshire, DE6 1DR

Once qualified successful trainees will be employed by Freedom Leisure. Vacancies available for Level 1 Swim Assistants and Level 2 Swimming Teachers.

Shortlisted applicants will be given the opportunity to find out more about the job at an informal virtual meet and greet session and interview. You don’t need any prior qualifications to apply as you will be supported through your training, although we are accepting applications from those who are halfway through their swimming teacher training or already have their level 1 or 2 qualifications.
