If you are a resident of Nottingham City and want to become a swimming teacher then this is the ideal opportunity for you.

The academy allows aspiring swimming teachers in the city of nottingham to receive all their training for only £85, compared to the usual cost of over £1000. You will be matched with an employer who will support you through the process along with the Recruitment Academy Team.

For this Recruitment Academy, Nottingham City Council are specifically looking for enthusiastic and competent swimmers. All academy participants will be required to complete the National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches award (additional training provided by Nottingham City Council) as part of their training.

Teaching swimming is an active and rewarding role. Work hours are generally part-time including weekday evenings from 4pm to 6.30pm and weekend days.

Once qualified, successful trainees will be employed as swimming teachers by Nottingham City Council. Once qualified Swimming Teachers can expect a rate of pay of £15.74 per hour. Swimming Teachers must be able to work a minimum of four hours per week year-round.

A DBS check will be required before starting your volunteering hours.

Shortlisted applicants will be given the opportunity to find out more about the swimming teacher opportunity at an informal virtual meet and greet session and interview that will take place after the closing date.

You don’t need any qualifications to apply as you will be supported through your training. However, we are accepting applications from those who are partway through their swimming teacher training or already have their Level 1 or 2 qualifications.
