Safeguarding children is everyone’s responsibility so we have created this free online resource with Swim England to give everyone involved in clubs or swimming lessons a basic overview of child safeguarding.

Whether you are a parent, coach or volunteer, we want to make sure you are prepared and know how to respond if you have concerns.

This module looks at:

  • What child safeguarding is.
  • How to locate Wavepower; Swim England’s Child Safeguarding Policies and Procedures manual.
  • Responsibilities and the procedures to be followed if you have a concern.
  • Promoting a culture of listening to children and responding to concerns.
  • How to deal with matters which are not related to child safeguarding.

Who is the course designed for?

This online module is suitable for anyone who comes into contact with children either at a Swim England club or in swimming lessons. It is designed for anyone who does not require the mandatory Swim England Safeguarding in Aquatics course.

This free resource is not certificated.
