A virtual meet and greet session will take place after applications have closed.  The next stage after this will be an invitation to a virtual 15-minute interview.

You don’t need any prior qualifications to apply as you will be supported through your training, although we are accepting applications from those who are halfway through their swimming teacher training or already have their level 1 qualification.  Please note you do not need to be of a high level of swimming ability but need to be confident in the water.

Successful candidates will be asked to commit to at least one evening shift for example 3.30-6.00, and one weekend shift for example 9-1 as part of an ongoing contract. A level of commitment is expected from successful learners who have their qualifications funded by the employer and this will be discussed at the meet and greet session.

Once qualified successful trainees will be offered a contract by PoolSchools to work as a swimming teacher.

Please note all trainees will need to complete a DBS during the programme and may be required to complete a NRSTAC or NPLQ qualification.
