How the Academy works

Successful applicants receive over £1000 worth of training, fully funded by their potential employer, contributing partners, and the Institute of Swimming. All we ask for is a £85 commitment at the start of your learning journey – For some academies, the £85 joining fee is covered by one of the funding partners.

As part of the Academy, you will gain:

• SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) training: qualifying you to assist a Level 2 Swimming Teacher.
• Experience volunteering with your future employer: allowing you to gain hands-on experience and the confidence to make a splash when you hit the poolside.
• SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming training: enhancing your knowledge and empowering you to independently plan and deliver exceptional swimming lessons.
• Institute of Swimming Membership: supporting your ongoing growth with valuable eLearning resources and insurance.
• Employment with one of our partners: allowing you to start your fulfilling career as soon as you are qualified.
