Introduction to Teaching Sculling for Learn to Swim with Pool Time

This CPD is designed to help swimming teachers learn how to teach sculling within a Learn to Swim environment and covers all the progressive steps from teaching a flat scull, a head first scull and a feet first scull.

Who is the CPD for?

The CPD is aimed at SEQ Level 2 Swimming Teachers looking to develop their knowledge of how to teach sculling.

Format

This CPD is 2.5 hours long and will include a 1.5 hour interactive workshop and 1 hour pool time.

During this session, you will learn about:

  • What sculling is
  • The benefits of sculling
  • When to teach sculling
  • How to teach the 3 basic sculls (stationary, head first, feet first)
  • Sculling in the Learn to Swim Framework and beyond
  • Other uses of sculling
