This series of e-learning and webinars brings together all of our Introduction to Teaching the Four Strokes online learning and all four of our Improving Strokes CPDs for a reduced price of just £50, saving you £270!

When you book on you will be given access to the Introduction to Teaching the Four Strokes online learning which you can start straight away.

The Improving Front Crawl, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly CPDs will be delivered as webinars over four, two-hour sessions. The dates and times for these can be seen in the itinerary below.

You do not have to complete the online learning ahead of the webinars but it will help you make the most of your sessions with the tutor.

Course content

The online learning contains videos and interactive activities. You will learn about:

  • The stroke cycle for front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly
  • The progressive practices used to teach the four strokes
  • How to assess and correct common faults

After you complete each section there is a knowledge check. These are included to help you gauge your progress and provide feedback on your learning, they are not assessed. We have also included downloadable resources for you to retain for reference.

The webinars will be delivered as interactive workshops and will give you a more in-depth knowledge of four strokes.

You will learn about:

  • Identifying strengths and weaknesses in a swimmer’s performance
  • Different techniques that could be used to improve a swimmer’s performance
  • Latest techniques and ideas for improving and correcting

Who is the course designed for?

This course is relevant to any Level 2 swimming teacher or Swimming Assistant who is looking to progress to their Level 2 Teaching Swimming qualification soon. It would also be appropriate for an Assistant Swimming Coach.

Training format

The online learning on each stroke should take about three hours and the whole set will take around 12hrs in total to complete. There is a lot to take in so please don't try to complete it all at once. We recommend taking breaks in between online sessions to think about how you can implement what you've learnt.

These CPD seminars will be delivered as a set of four webinars which will be 2hrs each.

A webinar is an interactive online seminar that is led by the tutor and allows participants in different locations to be guided through the course content, hear the presenter, ask questions and be involved in group text discussions.

All our webinars are hosted on Zoom. We have created a guide to Zoom webinars to help you prepare.
