Fifteen clubs face off as the Diving National Age Groups return to Sheffield

Fifteen clubs are set to compete at this year’s Swim England Diving National Age Group Championships – but only one will earn the title of top club.

Following a visit to the Plymouth Life Centre in 2022, the competition will return to Sheffield’s Ponds Forge, the venue which has hosted every running of this event prior to last year.

The action kicks off on Thursday 22 June and concludes on Sunday 25 June, with some of the country’s top young divers competing across the four days.

More than 120 athletes are set to compete, with a total of 386 entries and a mixture of both individual and synchro diving on display.

Individual events will be contested from the 1m and 3m Springboards, as well as the Platform, and synchro pairs will be on the 1m and 3m Springboards.

The event will be live streamed via the Swim England YouTube channel and tickets are still on sale should you wish to head to the venue.

Can Southampton retain the title?

Last time around, the Dawdon Shield Trophy was awarded to Southampton Diving Academy after they claimed 18 medals throughout the competition.

It was a feat that the club’s diving development coach, Matthew Roberts, described as a ‘really good achievement for the team’.

The trophy is presented to the best performing club at the championships and having missed out by just three points in 2022, Luton Diving Club will be hoping to go one better this year.
