
Griffiths Williams seals golden treble on thrilling day three in Sandwell
June 27, 2026Day three of the Swim England Diving National Age Group Championships 2026 delivered the busiest and one of the most exciting days of the competition so far, with a packed schedule of events and standout performances across all age groups.
With the championships heading towards its conclusion tomorrow, divers continued to raise the bar, with multiple repeat medallists and new champions emerging throughout the day.
One of the standout stories came from Sofia Griffiths Williams (City of Sheffield Diving Club), who completed a clean sweep of titles in the Female Group B category. Having already secured gold in both the 1m and Platform earlier in the week, she added the 3m title with an impressive score of 281.60 to make it three from three in a dominant display across disciplines.
Jasmine Bailey (Dive London Aquatics Club) took silver, while Emily McKeown (Star Diving Club Guildford) secured bronze.
There was also continued success for Will Heath (Plymouth Diving), who followed up his 1m victory on day two by claiming gold in the Open Group A 3m with a leading score of 322.95. Teammate Oskar Langer made it a Plymouth one-two, with Felix Di Bona (City of Sheffield Diving Club) completing the podium.
Charlie Clinick (Plymouth Diving) took top honours in the Open Group B Platform, finishing ahead of City of Sheffield pair Ben Norton and George Storey-Field, who secured silver and bronze respectively.
A milestone moment came for Star Diving Club Guildford, as Lily Houzego delivered the club’s first gold medal of the championships in the Female Group C 3m. She was joined on the podium by Ayla Jackson (City of Sheffield Diving Club) and Myla Sewell (Albatross Diving Club Reading).
The Female Group A 1m provided one of the tightest contests of the day, with Elodie Biggam (Dacorum Diving Club) edging gold with 269.85, just ahead of Naya Sogut (Albatross Diving Club Reading) on 269.40. Ariana Fox, also of Albatross, took bronze in another closely fought event.
In the Open Group C 1m, Cai Tobin (Star Diving Club Guildford) claimed gold, finishing ahead of Beau Barry (Southend Diving) and Vico Mattioli (Dive London Aquatics Club), rounding off another competitive field.
The Open Group D Platform was a close battle, with Parker Halsey (Southend Diving) just edging the win on 181.45, ahead of Sebastian Karanjit (City of Sheffield Diving Club) and Blake Clark (Southend Diving).
In the Female Group D Platform, Eva Gibb (Aberdeen Diving Club) posted the top score of 177.40 to earn a commemorative gold, while Lily Billton (Southend Diving) took the national title.
Fearne Hauschild (City of Sheffield Diving Club) and Sienna Deakin (Southend Diving) rounded out the podium.
With titles spread across a wide range of clubs and standout individual performances continuing to shape the championships, all eyes now turn to the final day in Sandwell, where the remaining national titles will be decided.
