Hannah Campbell seals hat-trick of golds for Dive London

Hannah Campbell held on for a thrilling victory in the Girls 12-13 Years 1m at the Swim England Diving National Age Group Championships.

The Dive London competitor was second heading into her final dive – an inward two-and-a-half somersaults.

She showed excellent composure to score 34.10 points, taking her to the victorious total of 202.50 points.

That was Dive London’s third gold medal of the day, following wins for Casper West and Benjamin Bush.

Campbell said: “I’m really happy! I’ve done quite well in my other competitions, I came fifth in synchro and seventh in platform, but I’ve got the 3m tomorrow which I’m excited for.

“I think I’ll do ok in it, we’ll see. The club have won three golds in total today so we’re all really happy and I’m really happy for the boys who won gold earlier.”

Silver for Sheffield

City of Sheffield’s Hannah Blake was narrowly pipped to the gold medal, finishing with 200.60 points – less than two behind Campbell.

Blake enjoyed most success with an inward one-and-a-half somersaults for 39.60 points.

Star Diving Club’s Lily Chandler rounded out the podium, taking home the bronze medal with 198.60 points.

Chandler climbed from sixth to third with her final dive – an inward one-and-a-half somersaults for 42.90 points.
