Swim England Diving Junior Development Squad selected for 2025

A group of 27 future stars have been selected as part of Swim England Diving’s Junior Development squad for 2025.

Gaining a spot on the squad is the next step towards competing in prestigious international events with the selected divers being invited to a number training camps throughout the remainder of the season.

The squad, aged between 12 and 18 years old, were chosen due to their impressive results throughout the past year and standing out at the national assessment camp at the end of September.

A number of the athletes selected are also a part of Aquatics GB’s Podium Potential programme but are still supported as part of the Swim England talent pathway.

They’ll each come together for the first time in March, alongside divers from Scotland and more from the GB programme for a training camp at the Southend Leisure Centre.

This year’s cohort includes some of the nation’s top talent who have already been making their mark on the international stage.

Amongst the 27-strong group are six members of Great Britain’s squad for the World Aquatics Junior Diving Championships at the end of November.

Maisie Bond, Robbie Wood, Oscar Kane, Juliette John, Jordan Fisher-Eames and Skye Fisher-Eames all took part in the competition in Brazil, where they gained more vital major competition experience in Rio.

Bond came away with both of the nation’s medals, partnering with Hannah Newbrook for bronze in the Girls A/B 10m Synchronised Platform before claiming an individual silver in the Girls A 10m Platform.

Swim England Diving Talent Athlete of the Year, Wood was narrowly outside the podium on his world debut whilst Skye Fisher-Eames put in more promising performances to add to her European Junior Platform title.

Helping them reach the next level

They’ll be joined by nine more divers that all took national gold at the Aquatics GB Junior Elite Championships back in April, including the likes of European Junior medallist Todd Geggus and double title winners Simeon Greig and Josh Saxton.

Speaking on the selections, Swim England diving programme lead Connie Ford said: “It’s a great achievement for all these athletes to have been selected for the Junior Development squad.

“We have a group packed full of talent and we’re excited to work with each and every one of them over the coming months.

“We have a number of exciting camps lined up for them to help support their development and help them reach the next level.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t select everyone who attended our assessment camp but we hope to continue supporting them on their diving journey. The first camp in Southend looks to bring together a larger group of divers from all across the junior pathway from both the home countries and the Junior GB team.”
