Dive London see off rivals to be named top club and win Dawdon Shield Trophy

Dive London Aquatics Club saw off their rivals to earn the Dawdon Shield Trophy and be crowned as the top club of the 2025 GoCardless Swim England Diving National Age Group Championships.

The club built on their 2024 performances, which saw them finish in third, to move up two places in the standings this year and finish on top.

A total of 19 medals – seven gold, six silver and six bronze – resulted in a total of 255 team points, which beat last year’s result by 80 points.

Helping them on their way to victory with some outstanding efforts on the final day of action was Alana Ojok, Sienna Robson, Alice Morskyj, Connor Craydon and Adelyn Richards.

Ojok was a standout performer all competition and her win in the Female Group D 3m event made it a hat-trick of gold medals.

Her fourth-round dive, a forward 1 1/2 somersault in the pike position, was particularly impressive and was awarded nines from two of the judges.

The Dive London athlete took gold with 193.40 points and was joined on the podium by her teammate, Richards (151.55), and the pair were separated by City of Leeds’ Daisy Costello (163.05) in the silver medal position.

Sienna Robson and Alice Morskyj sealed the deal for their club with gold in the final event of the day, the Female Group C/D 1m Synchro.

The pair took individual gold and silver in the Group C 1m event on day two before combining to enjoy synchro success – racking up 146.04 points.

The Margaret Davies Trophy for the top coach of the competition was won by Southampton Diving Academy’s Head Coach, Matt Roberts.

Golden start to final day for Sandwell

Other results on the fourth and final day started with the home club, Sandwell Diving Club, winning their first gold medal of this year’s championships courtesy of a strong performance from Sophie Gallagher in the Female Group C Platform.
She finished ahead of Southampton’s Emma Armstrong and Dive London’s Morskyj who finished in second and third respectively.

It also marked Gallagher’s second medal of the competition, following her bronze medal in the Group C 3m event on day three.

Leo Robinett of Star Diving Club Guildford was another who collected his second medal.

After taking joint silver in the Open Group B Platform alongside Dive London’s Noah Baker, this time he went one better to claim gold in the Group B 1m event.

He finished with 239.10 points, followed by Dive London’s Craydon (238.90) and City of Leeds’ Archie Isbell (235.70) in second and third.

The battle for the Open Group A Platform title was a closely fought one, with the top three – Fred Crossley, Jaspar Hussain and Hayden Low – all on 220 points going into the final round of dives.

Crossley was looking to defend his title, but it was Hussain who improved on his 2024 result of bronze to move to the top of the podium this time around.

He earned the gold medal with a total of 263.40 points, which was also a new personal best for the Amersham diver.

Southend’s Hayden Low (256.40) continued his successful form to add a silver medal to his collection and City of Leeds diver Crossley (250.25) completed the podium to earn another medal.
